Before installing this update
Be sure that you have:



Windows 98SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows XP installed
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 or Audigy 2 Platinum eX audio card installed
Note: This update contains only the WDM drivers. There will not be future updates to the VXD drivers, which are no longer supported by many third-party applications. For the best user experience on the Audigy 2 series, please use the WDM drivers.

Before installing version of Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 DriverPack 3 for Windows make sure this is the latest version available and that it works with your current operating system and device model. If the driver contains release notes ("readme" files) proceed with reading them first. Second recommended step is creating a restore point to help you later on in case you install the wrong device driver. Note that some drivers will work instantly after installing them, but others will require a system restart in order to function properly.
