MinimizeToTrayTool is a nifty little app that can be run at Windows start-up and ensure that apps which get minimized do so to the system tray and not the main program bar. Add programs one by one to the list of programs to minimize to the system tray. Specify that the app should start when Windows starts (or not). Hide this app from showing as running in the system tray. It's also possible to set it globally so that all apps with automatically minimize to the system tray. All minimized apps in the system tray can be easily maximized again just by clicking on them.
