Anyone who estimates with Quantity, Actual Cost, and Gross Margin, can use this software! The GEMS approach to accurate estimating is based on Mircrosoft Excel, powerful software with which you are probably already familiar, coupled with Visual Basic for Applications. GEMS software enables end users to work efficiently, effectively and accurately with minimal training. This smart and simple approach allows you to focus on sales! The GEMS General Estimating Tool was designed with many features to give full flexiblity to the user. For example, the user can estimate a project by either breaking the project up into 10 phases, or simply bid the project as one estimate. Estimating by phase lets the user choose to propose sub-tasks of the entire project. Therefore, if the customer chooses only a subset of a proposal, the user can simply generate a new proposal with just that subset. The software also allows the user to define up to 6 different labor types and rates, has a database for subcontractors and operational values, and comes with a user-defined summary page. In addition, GEMS software links to Quickbooks! These features, and many more, make the GEMS General Estimating Tool unique to the marketplace.
